Hi!
My name is Tessa. I like to make fun stuff. I participate in craft swaps on Instagram. My career goals include designing fabric and quilt patterns, writing books, and teaching classes.
This blog will mainly be about craft swaps, as well as other things I’m working on, and other crafty thoughts I may have.

Basics about my blog:
At the end of every post I will make a list of all open craft swaps I can find. I’d love your help finding open swaps! If you see a new swap open up, feel free to tag me in the comments and I’ll add it to the list! I’ll accept any craft swaps, not just Instagram! Let me know if you see swaps on Flickr, other blogs, anywhere!
Instagram is my main social media outlet. Any username I reference here with @ at the beginning refers to an Instagram username.

Hi Tessa. I just found your blog and I think it’s perfect and such a great idea.
Anyway I just heard about a website called swap bot. I don’t remember if it’s 1 word or two.
Anyway I only spent a very little amount of time on it
I am new to swaps and didn’t know exactly what to look for to see if it’s legit.
Anyway I just wanted to let you know. I would love to know what you find out about swap bot if you do check it out.

Thanks so much! I’ve personally never swapped through SwapBot because I’ve heard far more negative than positive reviews. The trouble with SwapBot is that there’s really no communication with the community or other participants, you’re kind of on your own. Which means no one is really held accountable. So there’s many incidences of people receiving packages and not sending any. Also, there’s some kind of point system for finishing swaps, but people “stack the deck” and get more points by doing email swaps (just sending emails) which I don’t think is very fair or cool. Instagram is great because it keeps people accountable and reminds them to keep working. All the hosts I’ve swapped for have been really great about having check-ins to make sure everyone is still involved. That way if people flake on a swap, a replacement can be called in quickly!

When I was browsing through to check it out the 1st thing I thought was it didn’t look “professional”. J
It was cluttered and hard to figure out, and a little flakey.
I did notice alot of email swaps, which I wouldn’t even consider that as a swap, I call it penpal and letter writing.
